Lunar Calendar Necklace / Moon Phases with hypoallergenic stainless steel chain. A lunar calendar is a calendar that is based on the phases of the Moon. Because there are slightly more than twelve lunar months (29.53 days each) in a solar year, the period of 12 lunar months (354.37 days) is sometimes referred to as a lunar year. These continually changing views of the sunlit part of the Moon are the Moon's phases. The eight lunar phases are, in order: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, third quarter and waning crescent. The cycle repeats once a month (every 29.5 days). Pendant is silver plated. Please choose from the options either; 0cm = pendant only, 40cm or 50cm chain. 100% lead and nickel free.
