Fraga do Calvo Tinto is a Portuguese red wine from the DOC Douro region. First, the fresh grapes are in their ideal ripening stage, picked by hand and bottled in 20 kg boxes. After complete destemming, the grapes are gently pressed. The subsequent maceration before fermentation takes place within 24 hours. The mass is then decanted into fermentation containers. Alcoholic fermentation now takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Fermentation takes place for 2 weeks at a controlled temperature of 14°C. A lemon green color, a floral and fruity aroma, with citrus notes reminiscent of grapefruit, lime and a hint of pear, characterize this great white wine. The finish indicates its bright and persistent freshness. Subtle balsamic notes distinguish this wine. The fine tannins ensure an elegant mouthfeel and the liveliness of natural acidity gives it a lasting freshness.
