Hojicha is a roasted green tea powder from Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Hojicha is great for several reasons. First of all it is roasted at a high temperature, that’s why it’s a golden, reddish color. Thanks to the roasting, it is very low in caffeine and catechins, so it makes a great evening drink or dessert. Also, due to the low catechin level, it will not get bitter. This finely ground, organic stone-milled Hojicha powder has a rich nutty undertone with a smooth, roasted chocolatey flavor. We prefer our Hojicha latte iced with oat milk.
