Print is packaged in cello with backing board. This is an illustrated guide to some of the whales that migrate through the Pacific Northwest and the times of the year when to see them. Whale images are carved from linoleum and made to scale in relation to each other. This is a digital reproduction from original hand lettering and carved linocuts. I mostly work in linocut, a technique of carving into prepared linoleum. The raised parts of the linoleum are inked in a process known as relief printing. I use a combination of printing by hand and with a table top letterpress. I use inks that are vibrant and stand the test of time. All my designs are based on my original drawings.
