These cute cotton elephant ornaments are handmade by women artisans from the UPAVIM cooperative on the outskirts of Guatemala City. UPAVIM, which stands for United for a Better Life, is an 80-member artisan enterprise helping women through social and economic empowerment. In addition to training women in creating various handmade textiles, UPAVIM has established a school, a pharmacy and a bakery within their cooperative. ● Measures 3” high x 4” wide x 3” long Handmade in Guatemala and Fair Trade imported.

Steer far away from this company. When we asked for a refund on the items we were shamed in a lengthy message, lecturing us and then saying he could resell to a host of more compassionate people. He said the damaged hearts were the last he had & if we were kind people we would just accept them. When I wrote back to ask why he was treating us this way, he laughed and proceeded to write a message dripping with sarcasm about how compassionate we are. Absolutely uncalled for harassment.
