Toast is a Porter-style dark beer, quite light (4.5% Alc.), with notes of chocolate, coffee liqueur and toast. The fairly dry finish makes this beer very thirst-quenching and surprising for those new to dark beers. To the eye, the Toast proudly displays its roasted malts, with a beautiful deep brown, topped with beige mousse. Its nose is also unequivocal: dark chocolate, coffee liqueur, toasted bread. Hops, which are quite discreet, nevertheless provide a subtle touch of freshness. In the mouth, roasted aromas are still very present, accompanied by the licorice and menthol notes of East Kent Golding hops.
