Borago officinalis Other names: starflower, beeplant, bugloss, burrage, cool tankard, talewort The packet cover up to 2m2 and can be scattered at all points of the year. March to May and August-October are prime sowing periods. This flowering herb is easy to grow and will brighten any garden space in a wash of indigo-blue stars from early summer all the way through to autumn. Throughout history borage has had various medical uses, most impressively it was fed to soldiers to give them some pre-battle courage. With an almost cucumber-like fresh taste, the flowers are delicious in a salad. The perfect snack for any wilding revolutionary! We absolutely love this company. We run a café with a volunteer lead community garden and we decided to stock and sell these beautiful Seed Revolution seeds in order to fundraisers for our community garden. They came beautifully packaged in cardboard boxes ready to be put on display, and fit perfectly in front of our till. They are incredibly popular and the artwork speaks to the revolutionary eco-oriented hearts that so many of us carry. Max has been brilliant to deal with and very kind.
