Cardinal "Lovebirds" Greeting Card A red male cardinal and tawny female cardinal sit huddled facing each other on a branch, in front of a bright light blue background. The inside of this card is blank white, and the back is white and features the title, the artists name, logo featuring a green bunny illustration and website at the bottom. Comes with a white envelope tucked inside the card and packaged inside of a sealed clear poly sleeve. Cardinals remind many of us of those who have passed on, and so these could be a sweet sympathy card. Since it is also lovebirds, it could also be given as a sweet valentine. I love watching birds right outside my glass sliding door, and one winter day I saw a male and female cardinal both land together on the bare branches of a lilac bush. I was inspired to create a design based on that sighting, since I don't usually see both male and female together too often. Created by painting with crushed colored glass particles and a toothpick, & fused.
