Rooted in the Edo period (1683-1867), the tradition of crafting "medicine balls" from natural herbs began in Toyama, Japan-pioneering a new approach to wellness that stood the test of time. UMEKEN was born from this legacy. In 1958, Mr. Shoichi Inagaki, carrying generations of expertise, set out to share this tradition by opening his own medicine shop. And in 1978, together with Mr. Hidekazu Sakamoto, the name UMEKEN was adopted to begin its journey onto the global stage.
