Michal’s “babka fundraiser” facebook post quickly covered her friend Carmen’s expenses and evolved into Babka Bailout - a booming babka business committed to changing the world one babka at a time. Babka Bailout now sells addictive, freshly baked babkas in 12 locations, ships hundreds of babkas weekly and has its first brick-and-mortar shop in Jersey City, NJ - the most diverse city in the nation. Babka Bailout’s devoted customer base devours babkas incorporating the signature flavors of a multi-cultural landscape. In addition to traditional cinnamon and chocolate babkas, Babka Bailout specializes in creating new flavors including cereal milk, ube, nutella and savory za’atar feta and pesto. Babka Bailout is a family effort. Michal’s husband and teenage daughters help with baking, logistics, and recipe development. “I never set out to become a baker, but nothing has ever felt more right and rewarding as Babka Bailout,” says founder Michal Prevor.
