About badly made books

Based in Cork City, the workshop at badly made books specialises in producing recycled paper stationery for the Irish market. Our notebooks are made from a minimum of 75% recycled material and the unique binding method allows each page to lay flat on the page. We are conscious to minimise the use of non recycled ingredients so our imagery is ‘printed with restraint’, an approach that means we use less ink and allow the texture of the paper to come through on each design. Internal formats are risograph printed in fluorescent pink with inks from rice oils. Read their story
