About MAJ

My name is Martha, I would like to take this opportunity to share some things with you about myself and about my brand, MAJ. It was a nickname given to be by a former co-worker it is pronounced Madge. When I first started making jewelry in high school, almost every project I made was a gift to my mom. She was my biggest fan, my inspiration, and always encouraged me. She wore every piece with pride. She was a beautiful woman from Rosario, Argentina. To celebrate her and my Argentine heritage, all of my pieces have names of Latin and Hispanic origin. I continue to make jewelry because of her, even though she is no longer with me. My jewelry is handcrafted in my studio in Gardnerville, Nevada, with my own two hands. All of my jewelry is made with raw brass. I use all semi-precious stones; they add a very raw, organic feel to my jewelry. I also use beads made of wood, shell and other organic material.Read their story
