amesea was created in 2018 by designer and illustrator Amy Clarke. She creates detailed drawings using Rotring pen and fine liner in a distinctive monochrome style, often utilising dot work to convey details. Hand drawing and an analogue approach to illustration are at the core of the brand. Amy produces limited edition screen prints of these works by hand. Drawing on personal experience, she constructs visual metaphors to explore themes of mental health and self-care. Some pieces were created to work through difficult emotions, whereas others serve as reminders to be kind to ourselves in times of need.Read their story
