About Tiny Tortle

Tiny Tortle first launched as a personalised craft business in 2017 after a lot of coaxing from friends and family. My then 2 year old kept calling a turtle a 'Tortle' which amused me greatly, so I decided to incorporate it into my new business name. In 2018, whilst pregnant with baby #3, I had started experimenting with designing children's clothes. Suddenly Tiny Tortle became a fully fledged clothing line! However, I was struggling to find my niche. There were a lot of children's clothing options out there and I couldn't figure out what would make my brand different. One day, my 5 year old had asked for a purple unicorn hoody. So I hand dyed a white hoody a gorgeous shade of lavender, quickly drew a 'continuous line art' design and popped it on the front in a stunning metallic gold. She was thrilled!
