About Mastro Sapore

Wheat was the first plant cultivated by man. It transformed him from a simple gatherer to a farmer, giving rise to civilisation as we know it today. It was the same for us: wheat transformed us from youngsters looking for a way forward to adults aware of living in an extraordinary land, from which to receive and to which to give. Like grains of wheat we threw ourselves to the wind, then we took root and sprouted in the fertile land of Puglia, which had seen us born and which after various experiences we realised we wanted to make our home. We stayed here to produce a healthy economy, with a healthy supply chain, in a healthy environment. To do this, we have made a pact of love and honour with the farmers and millers of Puglia, who were our masters and then our friends. Like ears of corn, we grew up on this land of Puglia, at the first sowing. We are not the sons of farmers, millers or pasta makers. The knowledge has not been handed down from generation to generation. We have chosen this profession because we want our pasta to speak of Puglia: a beautiful land, our land. We are what we have been told and what we have learned along the way and continue to learn. We went looking for what we knew, at the beginning even knocking door to door.
