I have dedicated these latter years of my life to creating art that communicates the depth of my emotions and experiences. As a late-diagnosed autistic and a woman with a chronic illness, I have hit my fair share of rock bottoms. Growing up, I faced many challenges, including difficulties with communication, immense ridicule for being a plus-sized Black non-US born woman in the South, and extreme sensory sensitivities that went blatantly ignored. Each time I thought I'd let my story end, I have managed to come back stronger, wiser, and more aligned with my soul and my passions. Now, I openly share my story and experiences, actively healing through these challenges while letting my story inspire others to do the same. These very ordeals have become my greatest strengths, ultimately making my art all the more compelling. Through skepticism and prejudice I persevere, using my art to become a passionate advocate for inclusivity in the arts, and using my voice to promote understanding and acceptance of both Black and neurodivergent individuals. My artwork serves as a powerful form of self-acceptance, allowing me to communicate emotions and thoughts that my words often fail to convey. Read their story
