Rx for Growth was born out of a firsthand understanding of the challenges that nurses face, particularly around burnout, compassion fatigue, and emotional resilience. Founded by Jenn Johnson, an experienced ER nurse, Rx for Growth began as a response to the rising burnout crisis that was depleting the healthcare workforce. Jenn, having navigated her own battles with burnout, realized the need for proactive support systems that could empower nurses to thrive—not just survive—in the field. Inspired by her own experiences and conversations with other nurses, Jenn created Rx for Growth as a way to offer nurses practical tools and emotional resources to build resilience from the beginning of their careers. The initiative focuses on journal-based support, professional mentoring, and wellness education to help nurses develop confidence, manage stress, and grow as professionals.
