About Smartfreeze containers

Hi, I'm Amanda Gordon Founder and Owner of Smartfreeze containers based in London UK. I began creating Smartfreeze containers in March 2020 out of my own frustration of being a busy full-time working mum who could never find time to cook meals for my family every day. I would cook large meals at the weekend and freeze them but we could just either never remember what we had or the container would crack and the food would get freezer burned in plastic containers. I wanted to move away from using plastic containers and develop a smarter way of storing an inventory of what food I held, so I worked with developers to create the Smartfreeze container which when the QR code on the front is scanned allows users to record their meals then receive notifications of its expiry helping them to reduce wasted food. Smartfreeze is sustainable being made of Food grade silicone a light yet resistant material which is BPA/ Phthalates and non-toxic. The containers are Microwave, Oven, and Dishwasher safe which gives you the opportunity to directly re-heat your food from the freezer and subsequently load it in the dishwasher. It doesn’t burn and it doesn’t crack either! Smartfreeze containers come in one size of 820ml and three muted colors of Duckegg (blue), Macaroon (Pink), and Cashew (Light cream). Read their story
