About Gower Lavender

Gower Lavender is proudly an independent Welsh business, established in 2018. Our range of handmade soaps, hand creams, pillow prays, lavender syrup and lavender hearts is natural and eco-conscious without compromising on luxury. In 2025 we bought Killay Fawr Farm on the Gower Peninsula, and are now busy renovating the farm buildings into beautiful spaces where we can expand the range of products we make. The dream is to grow lavender in nature-friendly ways, and we hope to one day open our fields to visitors. The company is run by local couple Rae Howells and Phil Poucher. We’re passionate about natural ingredients and making sure our business is sustainable for the planet. We love bees. We love using local ingredients. And we love lavender. What started as a few lavender plants in our garden has taken us to a field overlooking the sea near Three Cliffs, a corner of a meadow in Murton and a consultancy partnership with the National Trust at their lavender fields on The Vile at Rhossili, and now to our very own farm! We grow eight varieties of culinary lavender, from traditional purples like Munstead and Hidcote, to a more delicate pink Rosea variety. We also grow lavendula intermedia Grosso for its large, plentiful and late blooming spears. That means we have lavender growing from early May to October. We stock more than 30 independent retailers in Wales, from galleries and castles to gift shops and health stores. We also supply our syrup to cafes and restaurants.Read their story
