About Herderin

Herderin exists because tall women shouldn't have to choose between fit and values. For seven years, we've been developing a collection that takes both seriously: garments designed from the ground up for tall bodies (not scaled-up versions of standard sizing), made entirely from regenerative and renewable materials. Every piece uses Climate Beneficial™ certified US merino wool, renewable silk, or Climate Beneficial cotton, dyed with plants. We work with small-batch producers and regenerative farms to create clothing that restores rather than depletes. The problem we solve is real: women 5'9" and taller represent a significant, underserved market. They want sleeves that reach their wrists, inseams that don't require compromises, and garments that drape properly on their frames. They also increasingly care where their clothing comes from and how it's made. Herderin emerged from academic research on clothing, identity, and embodiment—the work of founder Dr. Alix Vasquez, a sociologist specializing in material culture. This isn't trend-driven fashion. It's thoughtfully designed, responsibly made clothing for a community that's been overlooked. Our customers are discerning. They value transparency, quality materials, and ethical production. They're willing to invest in pieces that fit their bodies and align with their values. Herderin is where regenerative agriculture meets intentional design for tall women. Finally.
