About BYOBags

In July 2018 (which was plastic free July), Sonu - the founder was trying out Plastic free living. It was then when she realised that how deeply plastic has penetrated in our lives. It was then when she realized that we should go back to how the world was when re-use was a lifestyle, when disposables were thought of as inappropriate and when buying single use items was considered to be expensive. When saving money and resources was important than convenience of use and throw. BYOBags stand for a zero-waste lifestyle and sustainable living. Our motto is reduce , re-use and recycle. Our thought was to have a clean and thoughtful design to make the products functional, super useful and long lasting. From the quality of the fabric, to its stitching, to its usability, to its packaging (simple with no added frills) - BYOBags are definitely a great step forward towards a zero waste living. We chose an Eco-Friendly material- Duck Cotton which is not only the sturdiest cotton (because of its very high thread count) but is not stiff like Canvas and Jute. Its a low maintenance fabric which can be easily thrown into the washing machine and come out new - which means they never look dirty! After now using them for about 3 years for all our shopping needs from groceries - to dry goods, from bulk shopping to clothing - we can say BYOBags are the only shopping bags you will ever need.Read their story
