Hey! My name is Anna. I run d'ametla [from almonds] with my cousin Alf. Our business idea comes from the fact that I have been using almond oil as my sole skin care product for many years now and think it’s completely unbeatable. In the summer of 2017 I was driving around the Mallorcan countryside when I came across this really good quality, cold-pressed, organic almond oil. This oil - gently pressed on a small farm in the village of Sencelles - has an exquisite natural scent of almonds and is essentially a world apart from the mass-produced varieties that are otherwise sold today. The difference lies in that mass-produced organic almond oils are often refined - chemically purified to produce an odourless and colourless product with a longer shelf life - a wholly, unnecessary process, as almond oil, loveliest when it is full of all its natural properties, is also naturally self-preserving.
