About Wild Ass Soap Co

We are a family-led rural Nebraska business who started making natural soap after discovering its awesomeness. We love making old fashioned lard soap blended with plant oils, especially hemp seed oil. Growing up in the rigged hills of southwestern Nebraska we are right in the middle of cattle county, farm land, and big rolling pastures. We grew up with agriculture and ways of the west, and that is what the theme of our soap products is inspired by and who we strive to serve. Our branding was inspired by our very own donkeys and horses on our small farm. Our love affair with hemp seed oil comes from our love of the cannabis sativa plant and all the amazing sustainable and healthy products that can come from one the most amazing plants on the planet. All of our soap is made with hemp seed oil. Our special recipe and process makes it possible to super fat our soap with unrefined "fair trade" certified shea butter and U.S. farmer-produced hemp seed oil. We love hemp so much we even became licensed hemp farmers and continue that today for our other brand line, Wild Ass Hemp Farm. Making soap with hemp seed oil was supposed to be a fun little hemp industry promotion and turned into a country-wide sensation because of our special lard/plant oil blend and addition of hemp seed oil made a long lasting, hard bar that moisturizes and heals your skin so well you'll be hooked.
