About Very Curious Art

Welcome! I invite you to explore this selection of unique gifts and products, created from my one-of-a-kind artworks. I’m Alison J. Stein, and my inherent curiosity about the world inspires my art. The products you see here are thoughtfully adapted from my original mixed media art. My intention is that each item will create a beautiful and memorable experience, to elevate all who those who encounter them. As a born and based New Yorker, I am so pleased to be able to work with a top-notch printer with 40 years of experience working in Greenwich Village — located just down the block from my studio. I also source envelopes and other materials from the paper company whose retail aisles I trolled as a teenager. About the name “Very Curious Art”: I’ve used variations on the “Very Curious” handle for a long time, as it’s been a great umbrella for my various interests and activities, including travel writing, book arts, journalism and even a stint running my own jewelry company. It’s a nod to Alice in Wonderland, for whom I was in part named. I have often found myself echoing Alice's exclamation “curiouser and curiouser!" Read their story
