Welcome to Skaüswood! We’d love for you to join us on our playful journey of contemporary design and vibrant colour, taking inspiration from our natural surroundings. By utilising nature, we seamlessly blend modern techniques with time-honoured craftsmanship to fashion unique, eye-catching jewellery, all handcrafted in Liverpool, U.K. Our desire to create positive change, pushes us to continually improve our processes, whether that's sourcing more responsible suppliers of materials and packaging (all packaging made from 100% recycled materials), revamping our studio to a 100% solar-powered setup (back to our roots), or making all of our jewellery to order to prevent over-manufacturing and the issues around fast fashion. Rob, the founder of Skaüswood, works as an architect and has an all-around passion for form, colour, and design. A natural excitement for problem-solving and exploring ideas & materials results in Skaüswood constantly developing new designs, trialling & testing the market, and then successful designs making it onto the permanent collection. Skaüswood started in 2019 from the back of a campervan, with a laser-cutter powered by a single solar panel whilst travelling through Europe. Over the course of 6 years, we have grown to supply handmade birchwood jewellery to 20+ retailers in the UK and France, along with our annual boutique stall at festivals like Glastonbury, WOMAD, Eisteddfod, and many more.
