FABIAN GOTTLIEB THADDEUS VON BELLINGSHAUSEN (1778 — 1852), a Baltic-German naval officer in the Imperial Russian Navy, born in Saaremaa (Ultima Thule), Estonia, cartographer and explorer who eventually rose to the rank of admiral.
