About Suck IT! Jerky and Pickles

“Be Smart, Be Safe and Don’t Suck” is the motto I used to raise my two boys Hayden and Hunter. This started when I coached their Little League baseball games, and I heard all the parents yelling coaching advice to their children (keep your elbow up, drive the ball to left field, keep your eye on the ball) I would tell my boys “Just don’t Suck, or if you are going to suck, suck less than everybody else”. This moto has proved to serve them well as both of my sons have graduated from college and are successful young business men. I have always had a love for cooking, trying new recipes, catering parties, and spent multiple years in the food services industry as a career. I began making jerky and pickles as hobby and to fulfill Christmas gifts for friends and family. The Christmas gifts began to get lots of attention, my friends encouraged me that I could sell these items. I thought they were nuts…. My wife signed me up for a local farmers market in March of 2019, I was terrified but began cooking and preparing to get ready for Opening Day of May 3, 2019. We had a host of our friends around us that early Saturday morning, we were set up and ready to go with only 5 products and by the end of the market we were sold out of almost everything.
