Once upon a time, Cipango. The Chinese name of the archipelago Nippon reported by Marco Polo on his return from the road of silk. “Cipango is an island in the Levant, which is in high sea, one thousand five hundred miles from the land”. Paola Pimentel, a French-Dominican designer, draws her inspirations for the many trips she has made in traveling the world. The concept sets up a method of “mixing” two opposing cultures in every collection. Identifying future ready-to-wear products as a travel within foreign cultures, Cipango respects a qualitative and ethical policy through the “made in France” and the use of eco-responsible processes such as that the recovery of large raw materials Houses and the refusal to use animal leather. We offer collections full of subtleties and imprints of modernity, while remaining portable in everyday by everyone thanks to comfortable materials and fluids. Just like Marco Polo, our muse is looking for discovery. She thinks that our differences complement each other. She thinks that our miscegenation is our most beautiful wealth. She wants to wear the beauty of multiculturalism. She's wearing Cipango.
