On a typical day, I do more than my life can accommodate. I often find myself multitasking between the duties of being a mother of four, a full-time Office Manager, and a businesswoman. As all of the above, my self-presentation has always been a priority. I’m a front-line employee, which means my presentation must always be on point. Working in the number one trauma hospital in Atlanta, I have to park off-site and walk two blocks to work – no matter the weather. As you may envisage, my hair maintenance suffered a tad. You can imagine the wind and fuzz making my hair frizzy and unkempt. To solve the problem, I started carrying hair-care products and accessories to work, so I could get my hair back in presentable shape. Turns out carrying a bag of hair gel, comb, bulky brush, and scarf along with my regular bag wasn’t as easy as I thought. The sheer weight and bulk caused me major inconveniences creating yet another problem. I started researching how to pack less but comprehensively to solve this new problem. And I found lots of helpful resources that prompted me to create my solution that would be easy to locate in my bag, and great for a variety of purposes be it workout, lunch dates, interviews, and important meetings. I named my invention SlayEdge-Onthego. My hair care struggles helped me realize that many people face challenges to which they could create solutions on their own with a little inspiration just as I created a hassle-free hair tool to your routine.Read their story
