Haus of Wool was created by Tori Garfield. Tori is an artist, maker, mother and wife from Colorado. Tori hand pours soy wax candles that are inspired by a place, a memory or a feeling. She takes a lot of pride in the process, only using 100% soy wax which is from environmentally friendly, renewable resources mixed with clean candle fragrances free of carcinogens, phthalate, parabens, and reproductive toxins. When her hands aren't covered in wax you can find her hovering over dye pots dyeing wool yarn for the fiber community. Haus of Wool was birthed out of the desire to provide for her family, dye beautiful yarn for the modern old soul, and bring a clean candle into homes. Haus of Wool candles are truly unique because Tori blends fragrances together to create a custom scent that has a direct relationship to an experience in her life. Tori uses food grade citric acid, non-toxic acid dyes and low water immersion techniques while dyeing yarn to minimize the impact on the environment. All of the dye is completely exhausted, using a very slow method, to ensure that no dye is being poured down the drains. The nature of hand dyed yarn is that each and every skein is unique. From start to finish Tori wanted Haus of Wool to be truly handmade. She hand mixes and pours each cement vessel.
