About Ollie and Sab

Ollie & Sab is a family business, founded in 2020 by Susie (mother) and Tara (daughter). ​ From a young age, Susie remembers sitting on the floor of a tailors shop in the back streets of Hong Kong, where she grew up, watching her mother, Rosemary, have the most beautiful clothes made. All the fabrics came from the Thai silk shop Rosemary once owned in Singapore, where Susie was born. ​ After living for many years in the Far East, Susie came to London where she worked for a well known British Designer, dressing some of the most photographed women in the world. She and her husband then went on to own a travel business, before setting up Ollie & Sab. ​ Tara did not have a dissimilar childhood to Susie, albeit in London. She often accompanied Susie to work, where she too sat on the floor watching the designers create the latest catwalk collections. From an early age, something sparked her interest in fabrics and design. She went on to become an award-winning textile designer under her own brand, working with clients around the world. She also owns Irish Artisan Yarn, where she hand paints yarn, reminiscent of Irish Landscapes. ​ Where possible, Susie and Tara source surplus linen from local Irish Mills to produce the Ollie & Sab cushions, which are affectionately named after their favourite places around Ireland.Read their story
