I have been making porcelain jewelry since 2021 so I am new to being a 'brand', but I have been a maker of all things creative my entire life with an emphasis on clay. I am also a ceramics teacher at a local high school. I have worked in clay for more than 20 years, so I see endless possibilities for my work. I've been told that you really need to be able to see & touch my product in real life to appreciate how special it is. The pieces are extremely lightweight due to the nature of porcelain. It's brilliant bright white color contrasts against the black patterns. The black, white and gold palette is appealing to people due to its ability to match a large variety of clothing style and colors. My goal is to create timeless jewelry that can be worn daily and appeal to a vast array of women. I make each porcelain charm by hand from start to finish. I start by rolling out clay to a very thin slab & apply the pattern with custom silk screens to the surface of the clay. I then hand cut each piece, capturing different sections of the pattern to create unique charms each time. Once the clay pieces are bone dry, I sand each delicate piece by hand before it goes into the kiln. Each piece goes through 2 different kiln firings up to 2100 degrees Fahrenheit (Luster jewelry goes through a third firing). Once finished, I assemble all of my pieces on gold plated findings.
