About Lyndsey Currie - Knitted Accessories

Hi, I'm Lyndsey! Edinburgh born, I moved to Dundee to study textiles at Duncan Of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, specialising in Knitting. After graduating I went on to become Designer in Residence at the University, which meant I could use the facilities and help in the classes teaching others to knit. I was then given the opportunity to work at the university as the Knit and Stitch technician covering a 6-month sabbatical leave. After a fabulous 6 months of teaching I decided it was time to go self-employed! Since graduating university, it was dream too start up my own business! A little bit about my work I have always been extremely interested in Brutalist architecture and love to pair bright and bold colours with architectural shapes. All my products are designed and made by myself in Dundee, Scotland, on a hand-powered knit machine! All my knitted products are made from 100% premium lambswool which is spun and dyed in Scotland using environmentally friendly dyes. Read their story
