About Manes & Tails

Manes & Tails was created in Sheffield in November 2021. I learnt to use a sewing machine in school, and after getting my own machine as a birthday present in June 2020 from my late granny, I needed short sewing projects that I could fit around my busy full time job as a horse riding coach. I also found inspiration from online sewing creators such as Madebytaylahrose, and soon I started this Etsy shop as a fun project for my spare time. Since November 2021 we have grown beyond any of my expectations and I am loving every single moment of this journey. To date, we have sold over 20,000 scrunchies, received almost 2,500 5* reviews and have expanded our product range to include hair bows and stickers. I've learnt far more than I ever anticipated I would need to about running an online business, and in November 2024 set up our very own website!
