About Joseph Sandell

It all started a few years ago; beginning to play with different scents and turning them into gifts for my family. The spilt wax would always cause a heated discussion and reasons to stop. But I loved making candles so much that I decided to start Joseph Sandell, our eco friendly home fragrance brand built in the heart of Suffolk. Straight from launch, orders were flying in and at times, it was really hard to keep up. It seems strange to say, but the global pandemic helped us. It allowed us time away from our teaching day jobs and helped us focus on creating new scents, while still having a small dance in our kitchen every time an order came through. It wasn't long until we realised that our kitchen was no longer a viable option to make and store all of our products in. So we moved to our little unit. As our business was beginning to grow, so did our family, in 2022, we welcomed Louie, or perfect little boy to to world. Becoming a Dad, running a small business and teaching 11 year olds full time took its toll. After lots of conversations with the better half and other family members, I took the leap and now Joseph Sandell, my little hobby over the kitchen hobs, is my full time job.
