When I was a kid, my favorite memories came from visiting my family in Sweden and falling IN LOVE with the superior taste of their candy compared to what I was used to eating back home in California. However, as I grew older in the US, I realized my lifelong sweet tooth had a sour side. I learned about the negative effects of consuming traditional American candy packed with high fructose corn syrup and GMOs. I searched for healthier alternatives, but found that they often stuck to my teeth, upset my stomach, and failed to satisfy my craving. Inspired by childhood memories, I followed my passion for Swedish candy and discovered that it’s made with cleaner, healthier ingredients while still maintaining its delicious taste. At Saturday Sweets, our mission is to revive the joy and excitement of childhood sweets by creating a better-for-you, upgraded version of your favorite treats to show you what real candy SHOULD taste like! -Erik Thornally
