About Hathi

We are two sisters who work together, even if we are miles away from each other. We live in countries that could hardly be more different, in Switzerland and in India. The production site is in central India (Madhya Pradesh) in the world-famous Kanha National Park. Life around the national park is hard for the local population, exhausting and extremely difficult financially. Income and job opportunities are primarily based on agriculture. We are a mission-oriented company and offer help in this critical situation. We offer jobs for women so that they can find a steady income regardless of farm. Our products are produced in-house, in Kanha National Park. The focus is on environmentally conscious and socially responsible use of resources, including in the production management and design process. Our raw materials are purchased locally or in collaboration with foundations and NGOs. The printed design is created through inspiration from nature, during local safari trips or in collaboration with highly qualified and like-minded artists.Read their story
