About MARAI

MARAI is more than a new line of bags: With MARAI we're telling a story. Our products artfully combine the use of local resources, derived from the food industry, the strengths of mindful leather production, local artisanal craft, and timeless, high-quality design. The idea for MARAI was born after we learned that Switzerland burns tens of thousands of goat and sheepskins from the food industry every year. MARAI wants to counteract this wasteful practice through purposeful design. We process the hides locally using natural tanning agents to create beautiful leather that will last for decades. In small manufactories, this leather is used to produce timeless, high-quality products that will faithfully accompany you in your daily life for years to come.Read their story
