I started Nice Rice because by changing the rice industry we can help fight climate change. Let me explain... The problem is rice produces more planet-warming emissions than almost any other food, because of the way it is grown. But pioneering rice farmers have discovered some simple methods that can cut those emissions by up to 70%. Pretty cool, right? So I launched Nice Rice in 2023 to bring beautiful, aromatic Basmati rice from these amazing farmers to the UK. And in 2024 I launched the Nice Rice Foundation to use 2% of our revenues to provide training for more rice farmers to learn these emission-busting farming techniques.
