Studio Terra was born out of the desire to create original, unique and beautiful homeware pieces. We are always striving to minimise our impact on the environment. That’s why we use Jesmonite, a composite material made from gypsum, a natural mineral. In fact, gypsum is extremely common, there is no other sulphate mineral found in more abundance on the planet, which adds to the overall sustainability of the product. It is also highly durable and known for its longevity. All Jesmonite products are water-based, non-solvent and contain no VOC's. Similarly, cork is an eco-friendly, naturally harvested material which is waterproof, buoyant, elastic, fire resistant and unique in texture and appearance. It is harvested only from the bark of the cork oak tree, saving the tree from being uprooted. Finally, all product packaging are made from recyclable cardboard and dried wood wool which is completely bio-degradable.Read their story
