About Collette Waudby

Collette Waudby is based in Birmingham UK and has created hand crafted jewellery for over 25 years. From the very start, materials and services have been ethically sourced from small bullion dealers, casters and suppliers. Most are small family or individually run businesses. The precious metal used is predominantly from a re-cycled supply chain and Collette also recycles all her own scrap to use for new items. You will also find many hand-cut gems bought straight from the cutters who buy the rough material direct from the mined supply. Diamonds are always conflict free. Her signature style is a fusion of aesthetic influences taken from nature, history and travel combined with the technical exploration of archaic metal forging and forming techniques. The original pieces that form the collections are individually crafted by hand using the wealth of knowledge, style and techniques gathered over the years. The collections tend to appeal to independent jewellery stores & galleries along with museum shops & boutiques. All pieces are thoughtfully and intelligently designed, using beautiful materials made to the highest standards. We want the wearer to feel individual, elegant, and sophisticated. A little about Collette: After a childhood and adolescence of self-directed ‘making’ of all kinds, Art School was a natural progression. She continued to University and graduated in 1995 with BA Honours in Silversmithing and Jewellery from the world-famous Birmingham School of Jewellery. Read their story
