About Lou Blakey

Hi, I'm Lou, an artist, illustrator, and mum of three, based in the UK. My work is playful and colourful, inspired by everyday life, music, nature, and the small moments that often go unnoticed. I especially love drawing characters and scenes that tell a story or make people smile. One day I’d love to illustrate children’s books, so I’m slowly building up a portfolio alongside prints and cards. Everything I make comes from a love of storytelling and a genuine need to create. Whether it’s a puffin, a familiar street scene, or a man sharing a moment with his dog in a café. When products are professionally printed, I source items based on their environmental credentials, for instance, recycled notebook paper and FSC certified printed cards. When packaging my products, I use a mixture of compostable bags, glassine bags, recycled kraft card, and you may find that your order arrives in a repurposed cardboard box. As you will see my product numbers are low but I am working to increased this. If there is anything you would be keen to stock please let me know and I will order in more products asap.
