About Susan Bradley Design

Award winning British designer Susan Bradley established her studio in 2004 Susan creates handmade prints - using both letterpress (now listed as an 'endangered' heritage craft) and linocut techniques. Susan is fascinated with these handmade, analog, techniques and with creating 'slow art'. She loves how each print she hand makes is quite unique. How each piece is made with care and attention, and how this hand making produces what might seem like 'imperfections' in our perfect digital world (finger prints, different amount of ink and the like ) yet are actually what creates their beauty. Susan's printmaking combines a simple, graphic style for which she in known with either striking monochrome or rich metallics. Her inspiration comes from inspirational poems and music, the wild feminine, contemporary culture and ancient wisdoms, folk art, protest art and feminisim. She also has a range of UK printed greetings cards, based on her prints. Her work has been featured in leading interiors, style, architecture and fashion magazines, and many national newspapers. Her work has also been published in a number of design and garden design books, and it has also appeared on television too on Grand Designs (a number of times) and other interiors programmes.
