FURI was founded to offer superior technical tennis equipment and streetwear apparel to the communities underserved by the current brands, while having a cultural impact that makes tennis approachable. We sit at the intersection of Tennis, Fashion, and Culture. Think APPLE meets the JORDAN BRAND Here are some fun facts about the streetwear: 1. Inspiration: Creating an ‘Apres” for other sports and activities, as today the only true “Apres” that exists is Apres Ski. “Apres” allows inclusivity to those who might not partake in the physical activity but are welcome to the celebration. 2. Designer: Luis Santos: Portuguese, lives in Paris. Worked for Kenzo in the 90’s, Paco Rabanne, and Christian Lacroix. He then transitioned into designing uniforms. He has designed uniforms for incredible brands, such as Clarins, Hermes retail, and Mont Blanc - just to name a few. We chose him, because we wanted a designer who could have a clear handwriting/DNA. We felt that anyone who could articulate the essence of a brand on the people representing that brand would be a perfect fit. 3. Graphic designer: Yannick Rigour: He does many of the prints for Dior, Hermes and Lacroix scarves. 4. Factories: All the product is made in Portugal at the same factories as Maison Kitsune, APC, Zadig and Voltaire, Acne Studios, Givenchy and Rag and Bone. Read their story
