About Hannah Hunter-Kelm

I’m an illustrator and artist creating entirely hand-made work from my studio at Sunnybank Mills in Farsley, where my view stretches out across the city. I work primarily with watercolour, alongside acrylic ink and oil pencil. I aim to bring encouragement and hope into people’s homes and everyday lives. My work celebrates the joy found in small moments — meaningful words, found objects, and landscapes worth lingering in. Inspired by the outdoors, I use bold, simple colour palettes, and I love strong outlines. To keep a sense of freedom and play in my work, I often draw with my left hand, despite being naturally right-handed. This helps me maintain a loose, expressive line and a spirit of spontaneity — elevating the ordinary and reminding us that beautiful things are everywhere, if we take the time to look.Read their story
