About Gunner Goes

This is Gunner. He is 9 years old now and he chose us through our (my wife and I) dog fostering efforts. We love him so much, and the work we do with other dogs like him, so I decided to write a children’s storybook… because children taught early that adopting older dogs from shelters and rescues groups is often far more rewarding and joyful than buying a new puppy… not always, but the homeless dog population is a crisis worth solving. The storybook turned into a book series; Gunner Goes… a children's book series featuring a rehomed adopted black Labrador Retriever who finds himself lucky and living his best life.
