Renae Moomjian has worked in biotech developing and commercializing healthcare technologies and had no intention of going into the cosmetic industry. However one day while she was driving her daughter home from school her daughter was reading a trivia book. She commented from the back seat, “hey mom, did you know your perfect lipstick color is your nipple color?” Of course, curiosity quickly got the best of her and upon returning home, she went straight to the bathroom to see if any of her lipsticks matched. They didn’t. So she snapped a picture and went to Walgreens discreetly filling the shopping cart with $110 of lipsticks. She went home and tried again. Found her exact match and one shade darker and loved both.
