Our story began in late 2016. Our Founder, Smudge, was 18 years old when she lost the strength in her back legs and couldn’t jump up and enter our home through a ground floor window. Catipilla was born in an effort to help our elderly cat get in and out of home with ease. We built her a DIY wooden ramp and we soon noticed that all of our cats loved playing on the frame and enjoyed perching on the higher vantage points to watch the world go by. We didn’t know back then that this simple idea would grow into what Catipilla is today. Since launching our company in 2018, we have drawn on our varied design and engineering backgrounds to develop Catipilla into a contemporary wall-mounted furniture range that can be used in a variety of home environments. We designed and tested many prototypes, and now, as we move into commercial production, we want you to become part of our story too.
