About JDS JEWELLERY DESIGN STUDIO 2016
JDS Jewellery Design Studio 2016 is a contemporary Portuguese jewellery brand created by Joana Henriques. With a degree in High Jewellery, JDS Jewellery Design Studio 2016 is a dream come true. I intend to create jewelry pieces with a different, simple language that can be used in a different and funny way. One of the intentions is to take more benefits from one piece of jewelry. Earrings and earcuffs with easy fix and that can also be used as rings. Reuse the same piece in different ways. They are adaptable to any type of look. Geometric shapes and nature are my biggest inspiration. All work is done in the workshop, according to the design in silver 925 and gold. Some drawings start by hand and 3D and then produced on my shop. In September 2019 I won a honorable mention from Portojoia through the Collectiva Meeting'19 International Exhibition, which brings together a selection of contemporary jewelry artists from around the world. Then I also participated in October in the Artistar Jewels exhibition during Milano Jewelry Week 2019 and 2021. Several handmade markets and some wholesale markets too, as Bijorhca Paris in 2023.
