About Helen Wiseman Illustration

I've always liked art, even at school I knew I wanted to be a professional artist. I trained in Cornwall which had a huge influence on the subjects and style of my illustrations. I now live on a farm in Essex where I create new and awesome artwork in my studio, surrounded by the things I love most. I get a buzz from embarking on new projects, especially the bit where ideas flow and things come together.​ Living on a farm in the Essex countryside has had a huge influence on Helen Wiseman Illustration, especially the 'Woodland' collections, inspired by the long dog walks - I seem to do my best thinking whilst out of the house! Painting outside is my all-time favourite occupation and I often intersperse painting cute characters with taking myself off to paint something serious.
